Cats With Folded Ears
This bizarre condition is not often associated with hearing loss.

Drooping ears are most commonly due to hematoma low potassium or dehydration. The latter are the defining feature of the breed. The cat most well-known for folded ears is the Scottish Fold which originated in Scotland in the 1960s. These cats are healthy cats with a lifespan of 12 years.
Scottish Fold cats have really small ears that bend forward and down towards the front of their head with rounded ear tips. This breed has the smallest ears of any domestic cat breed that exists today. Among these is an inherited condition known as fold-ears in which the tip of a cats pinna is bent sharply either toward or away from the skull.
A cat that has two copies of the gene is said to be homozygous. Different cat registries have named the folded ear cat differently. In this case all the kittens will develop folded ears but may also have serious defects and health issues such as skeleton problems.
Some of the various names of folded ear cats are Highland Fold Scottish Fold and the Coupari. This is a very special and unique breed of cat. The Foldex cat also known as the Exotic Fold is a rare breed of cat developed in the Canadian province of QuebecCurrently the breed is recognized by only one cat registry the Canadian Cat Association.
The degree of the folding ears varies. Folded ear cats were originally called as lop-eared named after the lop-eared rabbit. These cats are not bred due to ethical concerns.
