Our Barn Cat Program is designed to find feral and community cats safe outdoor homes in barns warehouses farms and other safe locations for cats that are not candidates for our traditional adoption programs.
Animal Allies Humane Society seeks adopters with a warm barn shed or other outdoor housing to give feral cats a chance at life. We will also discuss with you appropriate shelter for an outdoor cat and how to initially bond the cat to your property. The cats will be helping you while you provide them a safe place to live.
Some of them can be handled but we have others who would prefer to do their job stay warm in your barn or warehouse and love you from a distance. The shelter is bringing in healthy independent cats that are in need of good indooroutdoor barn homes but often are not truly suited to the life of a lap cat. If you have a cat that you want to surrender to the WHS simply because you believe it is a candidate for Barn Buddies or Warehouse Cats there is no guarantee the cat will be enrolled in the program. - Sat 10am - 6pm naptime 1 - 2pm with no appointment needed. Not every cat is a snuggly lap cat or one who acts more like a dog and we know some people want a cat they can admire from afar and possibly keep as a barn cat.
De-clawed cats are not eligible for Barn Buddies or Warehouse Cats. Cats whose litter box habits make them unsuitable to live in the house. Cats in our barn cat program may fall into one of three categories.
